This is an art forum. It is a place that artists can post their art and get critiques from other artists. It is all our responsibility as artists to continue to grow, artistically and personally, and to help others do so as well. Not doing so is wasting everyone's time, including your own.

If people don't want to grow as an artist past their sexist fetishes and, can't take a critique and are solely here to mindlessly fav others, then I have a favor.

Stop watching my art. Lose the link to this page. Better yet, leave DA. Go to myspace, where you can post pictures without fearing critiques. You can post mindless comments there. It is a place people can accept such wastes of time.

DA can be so much more. It can be a place of serious growth and an online place for the professional arts.

I have never been prouder of someone than I am of !Themrock and !ObtuseEngel. They were willing to speak out against such close minded thoughts and were banned. Art IS social commentary. It is the DEFINITION of civil disobediance. It is something an art community should EMBRACE and ENCOURAGE.

And in case you are keeping a tally, blood and swearing is bad. Sexist and demeaning fetishes are good.

Keep fighting the good fight guys and gals. Here is to those that are fighting the good fight.
